The
Oxford English Dictionary defines a Logo as "...a
printed design or symbol that a company or
an organization uses as its special sign.",
but successful businesses worldwide know
that a logo / identity is one of the key elements
in building a customer base.

There are three ways a logo
can be optimized:
- Visualize : Using the
existing elements, the logo is restructured
for a better visual design
- Symbolize : Adding a
symbol to existing typography
- Streamline : Rebuilding
the logo in vector format for cleaner lines,
resetting typography, defining colors
Logo design is the process of creating a visually
effective combination within defined parameters
(defined by client or recommended by CE). For
large companies or businesses who wish to market
internationally, a Corporate Identity is advised.
However, for small companies or those marketing
within a limited scope, a Logo is sufficient.
Starting
with several design concepts to choose from,
the process is narrowed down to a single concept
which is then refined. The final logo is produced
in all color formats — full-color, two-color,
black/white as well as all resolution formats— Web,
print, Mac, PC.
The process of developing a
Corporate Identity is distinguished from a
Logo by the following steps:
- Research : Before beginning
the visual exploration, the Internet is used
to conduct extensive research
within the client's industry (or related
industries as applicable) on a global scale,
to identify colors, typefaces, and symbols
used
- Brand : Designs are developed
to feel like an established brand, already
existing within the industry,
distinctive and memorable
- Range : The final design
is developed into the full range of applicable
versions such as vertical/horizontal, type
or symbol only, alternate colors or text,
special uses
A Style Guide defines the
approved uses and formats of the completed
design. It can be used both internally for
standardization as well as with the client's
suppliers to assure that the Logo or Identity
prints correctly.
We offer two levels of
Style Guides:
- Standard : This defines
all color formats — full-color,
two-color, black/white, as well as all resolution
formats — Web, print, Mac, PC, and basic
configurations. This version is used for
Logos. PDF
